The deal will leverage Sohar Port's advanced facilities and the Hafeet Rail network to enhance supply chain efficiency for the iron and steel industry. Itaminas, with a production capacity of 6.5 million tons (expandable to 15.5 million tons) annually, plans to export to the Middle East and explore setting up parts of its value chain in the GCC. Construction of the railway is actively underway.
