Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) signed agreements for the Jubail-Buraydah Independent Water Transmission Pipeline (IWTP) project with a consortium of Aljomaih Energy & Water, Nesma Co. Ltd., and Buhur for Investment. The SAR 8.5 billion project will have a 650,000 m³/day capacity, spanning 587 km, with strategic storage tanks in Al-Shamasiyah (6) and Al-Jubail (3). Awarded under a BOOT model after competition from 32 companies, it will commence operations in Q2 2029 with a 35-year concession. The project aligns with Vision 2030, ensuring efficient water supply with lower energy costs and increased Saudization.
