QatarEnergy has partnered with TotalEnergies to develop a major solar power project in Iraq’s Basra region, as part of the Gas Growth Integrated Project (GGIP). The joint venture will build a 1.25 GW solar plant featuring 2 million high-efficiency panels, set to power 350,000 homes and significantly boost Iraq’s renewable energy capacity by 2027.
