GE Vernova has secured a contract to supply five 7H-Class gas turbines (three 7HA.03 and two 7HA.02 units) for Saudi Arabia’s 3 GW Qurayyah IPP Expansion Project, awarded by EPC JV Técnicas Reunidas (Spain) and Orascom Construction (Egypt). The project supports Saudi Arabia’s goal to derive 50% of its electricity from gas by 2030 and includes future carbon capture readiness. A PPA was signed in Feb 2025 by Hajr Two Electricity Co. with SPPC, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030 and net-zero targets for 2060.
