Mitsubishi Power has secured a major order from Morocco’s ONEE to supply two M701JAC gas turbines for the 990 MW Al Wahda Open Cycle Gas Turbine Power Plant, set to begin operations in 2027. Located near Al Wahda Dam, the plant will stabilize Morocco’s national grid, support renewable energy integration, and contribute to the country’s goal of 52% renewable energy by 2030. Mitsubishi Power also signed a long-term service agreement with ONEE to ensure sustained reliability. The project, developed in partnership with China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited (CEEC), marks a key milestone in Morocco’s energy transition.
